If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.
We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms.

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
After registering for an account and accepting these terms, you may export data from this website in CSV files using the website’s own interface. There are no restrictions on the volume of data you can export in this way and you may modify these CSV files and their content after downloading them. Ukie reserves the right to suspend or deactivate your account if your use of this feature impacts the performance or operation of the Games Map website, contravenes any of the other terms or brings Ukie’s reputation or the reputation of any of its members into disrepute. You must cite the UK Games Map (https://map.gamesmap.uk) as a source when using any data obtained in this way.
You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to content posted on our site.
You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text. The non-modification provision of this term does not apply to CSV files downloaded using the website’s own interface.
Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of content on our site must always be acknowledged.
You must not use any part of the content on our site for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors. You do not require a licence to use information on the UK Games Map website to identify potential partners, collaborators, vendors, clients or regions of interest for your business. You must not sell information you have acquired from the map by itself or as part of any broader publication without a licence to do so and must cite The UK Games Map (https://map.gamesmap.uk) as a source in any context where its data is used.
If you print off, copy or download any part of our site in breach of these terms, your right to use our site will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.

Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you
Whether you are a consumer or a business user, we do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to the business and consumer user exclusions below, our total liability to you arising under or in connection with the terms of use, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, will be limited to £5. The cap is set at this level as the service is being provided free of charge to all users.
If you are a business user:
- We exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to our site or any content on it.
- We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:

Uploading content to our site

You retain all of your ownership rights in your content, but you are required to grant us and other users of our site a limited licence to use, store and copy that content and to distribute and make it available to third parties.
Identity verification data (as described in our privacy policy) is treated and stored confidentially for a period of one year after which it is deleted. We will disclose this information only where it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, such as a fraud or police inquiry.

If you breach this term, Ukie has the right to terminate your access to the Games Map service. If you have uploaded personal data other than your own you must inform us as soon as possible at [email protected] if you are unable to delete it yourself.
We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any content posted or uploaded by you to our site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.
We are not responsible for viruses and you must not introduce them
We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.
You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access our site. You should use your own virus protection software.
You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our site will cease immediately.

You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.

Which country's laws apply to any disputes?

Waiver
If we do not insist that you perform any of your obligations under the terms of use, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you or that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive any rights, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any right related to any later default by you.
Severance
Each paragraph of these terms of use operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
Third party rights
The terms of use is between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce any of its terms.
